THE OUTFITTER Steve Fleming is an experienced, friendly, full-time professional fishing and bird hunting guide. He has been hunting and fishing on the John Day River since 1968, and began guiding exclusively on the John Day in 1989. Guiding fishermen and bird hunters on the John Day River is Steve's profession, not his hobby. He is the only John Day River Guide with a bass catching backup plan if the river is unfishable. He knows how to have you in the right place, at the right time, with the right bait, and get the big bite!
