HAPPY BASSIN’ NEW YEAR!!
First things
first! Thanks to all of you for a SUPER 2011. It was a
scary year at the beginning with the economy, super high
water, etc., but we ended up booking just under-600 client
days before it was over. THANKS!
The Biggest
Fish honor was a tie at 22” X 15”: one caught May 2, by Red
Iler; the other on May 5 by Larry Crist. The Most Fish
honors goes to Dike Dame, for 228 fish on August 15th
(boated 512 fish and 2 Master Angler smallmouth-bass on a
Three-Day overnight trip). The Best Steelhead Day, November
8th with Bruce Belles, Clackacraft Drift Boats,
14 hook-ups and 12 landed steelhead (We now offer three
kinds of Steelhead trips: Pure Fishing, Fully Guided Day
Trips, and Deluxe Two-Day overnight trips). All were super
efforts, and a joy to watch from the guide’s seat!
This was a
tough water year. We had the 3rd and 4th
highest recorded flows, both over 30,000 CFS, since 1922.
One was in January and the other in May. I hope it’s
another 90 years before it happens again. Good News: we
had a fish catching Private Largemouth Lake to fall back on,
and it kicked out lots of fish.
Thanks again for
your past patronage!
